Hi, I’m Pippa , a qualified, experienced, accredited, reward-based trainer and canine behaviourist based in Harrogate, North Yorkshire.
Working with dogs isn’t just my job, it’s my passion. I truly believe that life is better when our dogs are living their best lives, they are only here for a short time after all.

Whether you’re looking for spaniel-specific training, group classes or relaxed fun sessions, I take a kind, holistic approach that focuses on understanding your dog’s needs, not just ‘fixing’ behaviour.

I only use reward-based training, with no aversive techniques or equipment. Why? Because science tells us that when we ‘pay’ our dogs for doing the right things, they’re more likely to repeat them - and enjoy learning too!

1:1 sessions

Are you struggling with unwanted habits like jumping up, counter-surfing, barking at the doorbell, pulling on the lead, or ignoring recall? Perhaps your dog is reactive - barking, lunging, snapping, or biting when they see unfamiliar people or other dogs.

I have extensive experience of working with all breeds of dogs with all manner of behavioural issues and training needs.

I offer personalised 1:1 training sessions, tailored to you and your dog’s unique needs, whether you're dealing with specific behaviour challenges or want help building good habits from day one.

Group classes

Whether you’ve got a puppy needing to learn the basics, an adolescent that has ‘gone off the rails’ or an adult dog in need of some extra stimulation, I offer group sessions for all breeds and ages. From laying the foundations with obedience training to diving into social skills, there’s something for every dog to enjoy and learn.

It’s a great way for your dog to grow, and for you to connect with other dog owners!

Mantrailing

Think of Mantrailing like an exciting game of hide-and-seek, but with your dog using their incredible sense of smell. It’s a fantastic way to build your dog’s confidence, give their brain a workout, and deepen your bond.

Perfect for all breeds and especially helpful for anxious or reactive dogs, Mantrailing offers a focused, fun few hours out for both of you.

Puppy training

Bringing a new puppy into your life is so exciting, but I know it can also feel a bit overwhelming with all the things to think about.

I offer pre-puppy arrival sessions and 1:1 puppy training to set both you and your new pooch up for success. We’ll cover everything you need to create a solid foundation for a happy, healthy life together.
